Pathetically still sick.

We're on day 4 of this awful virus. Still high fever, no eating and no sleeping.
We went to the doctor yesterday to rule out ears/throat and all was clear, so of course it's just wait it out still. And load up on Advil/Tylenol.
(so pathetic and laying on the floor thinking she's dying.)

Dove started refusing milk yesterday and since then has only had half a cup (about 4oz.)
I'm really pushing liquids and it's not working too well. Also, food is not an option for her. She did eat part of my sandwich yesterday and that's it.
I hate this.

(poor feverish baby bird,)
We managed to get out after the doctor for a bit yesterday to save my sanity. Dove was doped up on Advil and we got some used/new to us shoes and an amazingly adorable bathing suit.
Other than that, we've been at home, trapped, miserable and sleepy. So so so so sleepy.
(fancy boots & a new striped yellow bathing suit while pumped on baby advil!)

This morning (day 4) I attempted to make Lilly heart-shaped blueberry oat bars; and burnt them. Currently pouting about this. But our morning is also being filled with lots of water, attempting to let Dove drink a capri sun, and loads of coffee for mama. LOADS.

Maybe I'll do another update while she's sick. Maybe not. I just want to sleep. And for my birdie to feel better.
Xoxo,

Sometimes

Your kid gets sick an acts like she is dying. So you spend your days rocking, attempting to feed, attempting sleep. More rocking and well, crying. (probably from both parties, I'm not gunna lie.)
I feel so helpless and useless when she's screaming and I can't do anything but hold her close and try to comfort her. It's exhausting.
So, dear virus. Go away fast, thanks.
Xoxo.

Easter day!

Daddy had to work pretty much all week- 60 hours in 3 days. So, chef wife life consisted of him being gone most of the day until around 4pm. (thank goodness for small favors.)

Dovie & I woke up, and after a fast diaper change and jammie strip down, I showed her what the Easter bunny brought her. Naked baby cuteness overload:

Outside adventures via instagram.

My child loves being outside. If its nice, we're outside. Whether its the backyard, at our parents' houses or the front yard playing in the garage.
Outside life's where its at lately, so here:

Daddy made the bird a tent!

And she loves it! But our cats love it more!
We went along the lines of THIS but added more wood to make it more sturdy and a couple other tiny little changes. And viola! We have tent!

Oh, yes. I got out my actual camera.
And yes. These pictures are awful. I had the wrong settings on and was trying to snap a few photos before birdies morning nap. (See sleepy-eyed picture above.)
And yes. It's right smack in the middle of our living room (for now.) It easily folds up and can be pushed against a wall or stored anywhere. We plan on putting it in her room, but she enjoys the living room and I like keeping an eye on her so in the living room it goes.
Enjoy!
XOXO.
