Happy Halloweenie (part 1)

Daddy's been working a bunch lately, which means Dove and I have been doing our Halloween activties with just us two. It makes us sad, but we still have a good time anyway!
We went with our pals to the Ranching Hertiage Center where they have all of the old houses, and we strolled/walked to them getting candies & whatnot. It was was chilly and fun. We then went to eat out with some friends and headed home.

Then, on Saturday night we all went to my parents neighbors house for a little Halloween party she throws every year. We weren't there long, because lets face it once you have kids, your days of staying out late are over. (That is, with the child. And sometimes without the child.) But anyway, she was a lamb to that party because well, that adorable Giraffe costume was a tad bit too small, and me being the terrible mother that I am, didn't realize that until we were there. Damn my husbands tall genes.
So, here's little lamby:
Lamby
I'm dying!
That's pretty much all the decent pictures I got that night.
But as for the past two days, we've continued to be a little baby lamb and wear that adorable freaking hat out in public everywhere. We even wear it when we're at home watching tv with our kitty.
Went on a lunch date with this little lamb!

(Link creeps in every single picture, seriously.)

Also, I'm having a little mini-heart attack because Lillian's "bunny" is apparently not made anymore. That's right people. NOT MADE ANYMORE.
I really don't know what I'm going to do. Hopefully bunny will hang on for a couple more years, but lets face it, his ears are crusty, smelly and his legs and arms are slowly becoming flatter. Let's just pray and hope he'll last.
And if anyone would care to be a God and help me find another one, or has another one, GIVE IT TO ME NOW. Thanks.

And here is just cute pictures of Lilly:

In love with this face!
Lovely
Such beauty!
Obsessed
I know. She's amazing.  (And so is CatPaint!)

And now, here is a video I made of my adorable freaking child with Splice on my phone. It was fun, and I really wish I had more photos/video footage to use, but oh well. It's my first video, won't be my last and it's still precious as hell.
Enjoy folks!
Xoxo.

Playing "ketchup" (catch-up)

Happy birthday me!
Tuesday was my birthday, and it was amazing. Probably one of the best birthdays yet, except for the one where my husband (then boyfriend, asked me to be his wife.)
It was filled with presents galore, food, and great friends & family. Perfect for me.
I felt a little under the weather, but it went away thank goodness.
(Even though it was MY birthday, I hate my picture being taken, so there is mostly pictures of my adorable baby. I know, no one wanted to see pictures of me anyway.)

Beautiful Dove at my Birthday Breakfast, where she ate some pancakes and her baby mum mums. She also proceeded to completely have a blowout which resulted in us leaving due to not having another outfit and walking out of ihop with a naked baby in a diaper and a jacket..

More pictures of my week consist of cleaning, Lillian and more cleaning. Bottles, cleaning bottles, cleaning house. Blah blah blah, so here are pictures because there is nothing else to really write about.
The queen is in!
Toy washing day!
Throwing this outfit away....

Today things took sorta of a serious turn, as I woke up with a heavy heart.
On this 3 years ago, I lost one of my best friends. I love you, and miss you always.
As if things were sad enough, it's been raining all night and is in the 30's here. Which is awesome, because I love that weather but it's very depressing on top of this day. Also, Dove had to get her flu shot, which I was very weary about considering the side-effects, but she seems to be doing ok, so i'm not too worried. Let's just hope that it doesn't turn bad on me with loads of fever, screaming, and a huge knot. :/
Here's her before shots though, adorable in her pea-coat as always. :)
Cold weather
Freaking cute!

And that's about all, there are your pictures.
And that's all I really had to say.
xoxo!

Hi!

It's almost Halloween, and it's almost my birthday! YAY!
This is my most favorite time of the year. The air, the smell, the food, the coffee overload and the amazing flavors of fall at Starbucks make my life. So yum. Also, the febreeze limited edition make me want to scream and put a dint in our bank account.

This time last year, I was depressed. On bedrest, away from my hubby, sad and lonely. (except for my amazing family.) This year it's completely the opposite. I'm happy, i've got a beautiful daughter that is the highlight of my life, and a chef of a husband that I love so very dearly. So all of the sacrifices of last year were completely worth it.

Sister came and went. We ate out, A LOT. And the past weekend was filled with busy, busy things.
Here's a re-cap:

(Brandon tends to ruin things, but oh well. The only person missing was my daddy, and he was at a football game, so boo-hiss, we used his credit card.)

The rest of this week daddy has actually gotten to spend time with us and not work so much, which is lovely and fun! It also helps mama out a lot with a teething baby. Just when I'm about to pull my hair out, I can toss her to him and not worry about how I'd look bald. (cause truth is i'd be gross.)

Other half
He truly is my other half.

Lilly has been using the baby cage a bit more, but still refusing to crawl, so really whats the point when she just wants to sit up and play. Here's the caged animal:
Baby cagin' it up
So serious today,

And now, I leave you with mummy's little halloween baby. She's figured out how to say "hat" repeatidly, which is not mama and it makes me angry. But man it's cute. Perhaps she's trying to say cat? Either way, love it. And I love the way she crosses her little feet like a proper lady.
I adore her, seriously.
XOXO.
My little candy cornSeriously cutest leg crossing ever!

A quick update (mostly photos):

The past week we've been busy busy busy.
We've been spending time at home mostly, and having our mama & baby friends over.
Our mornings are spent watching Yo Gabba Gabba, and playing with our kitters.
(seriously..)

(LINK!)
(Obi is a boy, I promise.)
While at home we do the normal. Laundry, cleaning, eating, sleeping, and playing.
(Baby bunny!)
(Laundry helper.)

(Optimus Prime & a very unhappy Lilly.)

(My beautiful vacuum that hubby bought me! YAY!)

(Snuggly bunny, baby bunny, and bunny blanket.)

This mama also went to Taylor Swift last night with one of my best friends.
It was my very first time to be away from Lillian for more than 2 hours, and not see her off to bed.
I about almost died, but I made it through and had a great time!
(I actually put make up on, put my hair down, and well, I wore jeans. Not yoga pants or a skirt.)

(TAYLOR IS OUR BEST FIEND!)

Hubby has been busy as usual, working and working. He did a really big catering last week and it had over 4,000 people attending. I didn't go, but of course the food looked amazing. I'm so proud of him and his awesomeness at making food taste and look beautiful.
(My body hates him though. Go. Away. Baby. Weight. + Chef. Wife. Weight.) Ugh.
(Freaking amazing.)
And that's about all I have for this post.
My baby sister (one out of three) is in town from Baylor and I'm so excited to see her!
Too bad she leaves like, tomorrow and only got here Thursday. Lame.
xoxo!

The seven month bird-

Sorry I've been so absent lately. I've got mommy friends (which makes me happy) and little Dove and I have been extremely busy doing big girl things.
Anyway, sorry for the lacking.

Today Lilly Rose turns 7 months! Can you believe it! She's not my little Dovie anymore, she's a big birdy. And it makes me so incredibly sad!
In the past month, You've learned a lot of new things (which amazes me.) Each day you do something different and I can't help but squeeze you out of complete love.
Here's the rundown.

Teeth:
You had a bad time teething, but you got two little bottom chompers right back to back this month. You still don't like the way they feel when you chew on things and eat, but you're getting adjusted. And by adjusted, I mean you chew on Bunny like you never have before. Poor Bunny.
They are the cutest, crooked, most wonderful bunny teeth ever.

Food:
You still aren't a fan of your bottle that much, but you've gotten to where you ate a ton of them back to back like I've never fed you before. (weirdo) You still only drink 4oz at a time, and at night you can down 6oz. You know when I make your bottle. You hear the microwave beep as I warm your water, and you watch me and try to help as I mix your formula, leaving powder everywhere. *You've done this for some time, but it's getting bad now as you knock the can right out of my hands*
You'll eat your baby food really good on some days, and some days you'll just pick.
In the mornings I give you oatmeal with water, a little fruit baby food and a dab of prune juice (just to keep your system running smoothly.) And sometimes instead of that you'll have baby yogurt which you love too. For lunch you have a vegetable and sometimes a meat of some source. For dinner you finish that up and i'll usually mix a little oatmeal with it for nighttime. During the day you drink water from your sippy cup (along with bottles) and only water. I will not give you juice because in all honesty it's not that good for you at this time, and I want you to love water, which is natural. Plus you've had it before and didn't care for it too much. (Now you love prune juice, but only get that when we're having plumbing problems.)
You eat some table foods when I forget to bring you food or you just plain want some. You eat little tiny bit off ramen noodles which are your favorite. You love asparagus and peaches to chew on. Mashed potatoes are yummy too, but you'd prefer my ramen or daddy's dabs of ice cream. (bad papa.)
You've also come to love those little yogurt melts that I break up smaller and they dissolve instantly. (I like them too, honestly.) And of course your teething biscuits, which you've learned to bite with your chompers and I have to watch you like a hawk and dig pieces of out your mouth.

Sleep:
You're still a terrible sleeper my Lillian. Terrible. You take cat naps during the day (30-45 minutes) and only about 2-3 of those a day. You'd like with little naps, you'd sleep good at night but you don't. I still fight you for bedtime some nights and you still wake up throughout the night to be rocked, held or sometimes fed if you don't eat your bottle good at bedtime. Ridiculous my child, but I still love you.
You have to have bunny with you when you sleep, if you don't have your pacifier in your mouth, bunny's ears are being sucked on to death in your sleep. Once again, poor bunny.

Things you're doing:
You sit like a pro now. You still have no intrest in crawling, and bang your head on the ground when I leave you to fuss on your tummy before you roll over. You hate it. You might start scooting soon however, because you move your feet like a man woman when trying to reach for things, and honestly, you should start doing yoga because you are incredibly limber. You'r favorite thing right now is digging out every single toy out of your little toy box on the floor and throwing them. Everything goes in your mouth. EVERYTHING.

You have a weird obsession with stuffed animals, and give them big wet drooly kisses constantly. YOU GIVE KISSES NOW. They are perfect, open, wet and the most adorable thing ever.Your favorite is still bunny, and he goes everywhere with us. I've been trying and trying to find another bunny just for backup, but I'm having bad luck. I found some on e-bay so we're hoping to get him soon so bunny will be forever, and not a piece of string when you get older. *Poor bunny*
You can sit in a shopping cart like a big girl now, and love it. You think you are the biggest kid driving around in the cart, and you seriously snatch anything you can get your hands on while we push by. You love shopping with mommy and mommy loves shopping with you. You make my heart melt baby Dovie.

We got you a pak-n-play so when you do start moving around if I'm not right by you, you can't get into anything. You were rolling by the fireplace and under the coffee table and almost getting hurt, so we decided to start now. You don't really like your baby cage, but it's cute and safe, so that's just something you'll have to get used to.

You have started saying "da da" now still look for me to make sure I'm right by your side. We're best friends Dovie. And nothing will ever change that and the love I have for you.
Happy 7 month Birthday sweet Lillian Rose!
